Association Aims

  • To promote all forms of cycling in the Calderdale area.
  • To improve co-operation and support amongst local cyclists and cycling clubs.
  • To represent the interests of local cyclists and work to improve cycling in Calderdale.

 

Membership

  • Membership of the association is open to all cycling clubs and cycling-related organisations in the Calderdale area.
  • There are no membership fees.
  • Each member club will provide one representative to the association who will speak for and represent the member club.
  • A member club can leave the association at any time by notifying the other member clubs of their resignation.

 

 

Promotions and events

Member clubs will organise or promote cycling-related events and should:

  • notify the other member clubs of the time, place and nature of each event,
  • avoid clashes of events wherever possible, and
  • invite cyclists of the other member clubs to take part in the event if appropriate.

Where marshals, volunteers or other support is needed for an event, a member club should ask the other member clubs for assistance.

Runs list

  • The member clubs should each organise and publicise their own club runs.
  • A cyclist in a member club should be welcome to go on the club runs of any other member club.

 

Meetings

  • The representatives of the association will hold at least one meeting each year to exchange views and information.
  • A cyclist in any member club should be welcome to attend meetings of any other member clubs (as an observer), to pass on useful information and maintain good relations between the member clubs.
