Reliability RideOn behalf of the Huddersfield Road Club, John Kaye is organising this regular early season opener. No details on the route as yet but knowing John it's bound to be a hilly one! (Late Feb) LVRC Road RaceStephen Thomson (ably assisted by Paul Hickey) is promoting a road race for veterans on the Norland Circuit in April. Entry details in the LVRC handbook.
Challenge RideThe aptly named 'Pain in the Pennines' is a new venture for us. There's a choice of a 60 mile or a 105 mile route, both criss crossing the pennines several times - organiser Dave Saleem is a mean 'un. To be held Sunday 17th June. Evening RRSean Smith is organising a road race on Wednesday 18th July, as last year the event is to be held on the Norland Circuit. The race is open to 2/3/4 category riders. The circuit has been used many times over the years but in case you haven't raced there before it's an undulating 4.8 mile exposed course with an uphill finish.
